Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. The GL Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather and verify financial information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
