About Role:
We are seeking an experienced Implementation Specialist with a strong background in Operations within NBFCs and Banks. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in implementing operational systems, processes, and solutions to optimize efficiency, ensure compliance, and enhance service delivery in financial institutions. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless project execution, from planning through to successful go-live and post-implementation support, with a particular focus on operational workflows and process optimization.
As part of the Implementation Team, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, IT, risk, compliance) to drive process improvements, technology adoption, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Implementation Management:
•Lead the implementation of operational solutions across business units, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service quality.
•Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
•Oversee the successful deployment of operational systems (e.g., loan servicing platforms, CRM systems, document management solutions) and ensure they align with organizational goals.
•Coordinate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of operational systems with existing platforms.
•Manage all phases of the implementation process, from planning and scoping through to execution, testing, and post-implementation support.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
•Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within workflows (e.g., loan origination, payment processing, collections) and recommend solutions.
•Drive process re-engineering initiatives to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and reduce errors or manual intervention.
•Promote the use of automation tools and digital solutions to improve operational effectiveness and reduce operational costs.
Compliance & Risk Management:
•Ensure that all operational systems, processes, and implementations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies (e.g., RBI regulations, KYC/AML compliance).
•Work closely with the Risk and Compliance teams to integrate necessary controls and checks into operational systems.
•Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that all implemented systems adhere to regulatory guidelines.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
•Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (business units, risk, compliance, IT) throughout the implementation phase.
•Coordinate with senior management to align implementation strategies with overall business objectives.
•Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, timelines, risks, and progress.
Training & Knowledge Transfer:
•Provide training to internal teams on newly implemented operational processes and systems, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
•Develop user manuals and documentation to facilitate system usage and ensure consistency in operations post-implementation.
•Offer post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and system optimization to ensure the longevity of solutions.
Vendor & Third-Party Management:
•Collaborate with external vendors, software providers, and consultants to ensure smooth implementation of operational solutions.
•Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that third-party deliverables meet agreed-upon specifications and timelines.
•Negotiate with vendors to ensure optimal terms and cost-effective implementation of solutions.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:
•Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
•Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations of implemented systems to ensure continuous improvement and operational alignment with business objectives.
•Provide detailed reporting and analysis to leadership regarding the success and areas for improvement post-implementation.
Qualifications:
•Experience: 8+ years of experience in operations within NBFCs or Banks, with a focus on process implementation, optimization, and technology solutions.
•Technical Skills: Experience with operational platforms such as core banking systems (CBS), loan management systems, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools. Familiarity with automation and workflow optimization tools (e.g., RPA, BPM) is a plus.
•Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing large-scale implementation projects, from concept to completion. Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum is desirable.
•Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking/financial services regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines, KYC/AML, financial audits) and their application in operations.
•Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify operational challenges and propose effective solutions to improve efficiency and compliance.
