Backend Developer for Real-Time CommunicationsWe're seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for designing and shipping high-quality backend APIs, building efficient data pipelines, and integrating with voice and cloud services to deliver exceptional user experiences.Main Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable backend APIs using Django and DRF, ensuring seamless integration with real-time communications analytics and automation systems.Create and optimize data pipelines for call metrics, focusing on observability, tracing, and SLOs (p95/p99) to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot SIP/VoIP issues using packet captures and logs, applying automated analysis techniques where feasible.Develop containerized workloads with Docker, contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and collaborate on cloud deployment strategies for Azure and AWS.Apply distributed-systems patterns like idempotency, retries, backoff, and circuit breakers to achieve scale and fault tolerance.Design and maintain databases in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, optimizing indexes and queries, and ensuring migration discipline.Key Requirements:Proficiency in Python and Django for RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization, background tasks, testing, and performance tuning.Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/2; practical experience with debugging using Wireshark; familiarity with NetFlow/SNMP.Knowledge of telephony domain: SIP signaling, RTP/RTCP, call flows, PSTN/VoIP basics; exposure to session border controllers (SBCs).Familiarity with cloud and DevOps: working knowledge of Azure and AWS, Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus; comfort with CI/CD and secrets management.Distributed systems expertise: microservices, event-driven design (queues/streams), horizontal scaling, resilience patterns.Hands-on experience with databases: PostgreSQL and MongoDB schema design, indexing, migrations, backups/restores.
