At Aurora Financials, we are seeking a skilled Contract Junior Accountant to join our team. You will also be responsible for supporting clients with their requirements on a timely basis.This is a fully remote position that requires you to work between 9am to 5pm New Zealand time. As a Contract Junior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to gain experience with a variety of accounting and assurance services.We are looking for someone who can lead the end-to-end technical delivery of auditing, financial reporting, and accounting services to a high standard. You will work closely with the Director to deliver high-quality services and contribute to continuous improvement and ad hoc projects.The key responsibilities of this role include:Communicating insightful analysis to senior staff and stakeholdersPreparing tax returns for a diverse client portfolioContributing to continuous improvement and ad hoc projectsLeading service delivery and meeting client deadlinesCompiling annual and periodic financial statementsAuditing year-end financial statementsCoding and reconciliation of transactions in XeroAutomating or simplifying processesWe offer a supportive workplace culture where your insights and suggestions are valued.
