Learning And Development Specialist

The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous growth and development within the school. This role focuses on enhancing the skills, knowledge, and competencies of both faculty and students through structured professional development programs, workshops, and learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teacher Professional Development:
• Design, develop, and implement professional development programs for teachers and staff that align with the school’s educational goals.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions on teaching methodologies, classroom management, and the use of educational technologies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Curriculum Enhancement:
• Work closely with academic departments to ensure that learning objectives and goals are being met across the school.
• Support curriculum development by incorporating best practices in pedagogy and assessment strategies.
• Collaborate on creating learning resources and that are engaging and aligned with the school’s mission.
• Student Learning Support:
• Develop initiatives that enhance students’ learning experiences, such as mentorship programs, learning strategies, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
• Implement programs that support differentiated learning, catering to the diverse needs of students.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate skills development and career readiness into the curriculum.
• Leadership and Capacity Building:
• Identify and develop future school leaders by creating leadership development programs for teachers and administrative staff.
• Mentor staff members to foster leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Data-Driven Improvements:
• Use data from classroom observations, student performance, and teacher feedback to inform future learning and development initiatives.
• Analyze trends and performance gaps to continuously improve the effectiveness of training programs.
• Collaboration & Networking:
• Build relationships with external training organizations, educational institutions, and other schools to leverage new learning opportunities.
• Participate in and stay informed of global and local trends in educational practices and technology .
Be proactive and self-educate to bring in innovative idea that can be implemented in school.
Be ready to invest in learning through certification
Enriching lesson plans and giving timely feedback and feedback forward to teachers
Observing teachers and giving reports
Conducting action research to be presented in forums.
• Proactive Learning & Innovation:
• Stay ahead of educational trends by investing in your own learning through professional development, certifications, and networking with thought leaders in education.
• Bring innovative ideas and best practices into the school environment, ensuring that new concepts are tested, evaluated, and implemented effectively.
• Enriching Lesson Plans & Feedback:
• Collaborate with teachers to enhance lesson plans, making them more engaging, impactful, and aligned with the latest pedagogical strategies.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to teachers, offering “feedback forward” by suggesting actionable improvements for future lessons and teaching approaches.
• Teacher Observation & Reporting:
• Conduct classroom observations to assess teaching methods and student engagement, and provide detailed reports to school leadership and teachers.
• Offer continuous support to teachers through coaching, mentoring, and personalized guidance based on observation outcomes.
• Action Research:
• Lead action research projects that investigate and analyze the effectiveness of teaching methods, learning outcomes, and innovative practices.
Qualification: A Degree/master's in education/ Curriculum Development/ Educational Research or a related field/ Specialization in Mathematics and Science preferred.
Experience: Any 2 criteria of the below will be accepted
Completed the course at Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning.
Candidate should have classroom teaching experience in IGSE board for min 3 years.
Candidate should have classroom teaching experience in Inquiry Based Learning and Active Learning Methodology.
Candidate should have classroom teaching experience in both Primary Years Program (PYP) / Middle Years Program (MYP) with IB Curriculum.
Total work: 3 years (Preferred)
