Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Agriculture Scientist with 15+ years of expertise, preferably with a background in ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) or similar reputed institutions. The ideal candidate will lead agricultural research initiatives, oversee sustainable farming practices, and contribute to innovative solutions for enhancing crop productivity and soil health.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Development : Design, implement, and manage large-scale agricultural research projects focusing on crop improvement, pest management, and sustainable farming practices.
Policy Advisory : Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support government and private sector agricultural policies.
Sustainable Practices : Develop and promote strategies for soil health improvement, water conservation, and eco-friendly agricultural practices.
Collaboration : Collaborate with research institutions, universities, and agricultural organizations to foster innovation and knowledge-sharing.
Technology Integration : Lead initiatives to integrate advanced technologies like IoT, AI, and precision farming in agricultural practices.
Capacity Building : Mentor junior scientists, conduct training programs, and engage in knowledge transfer activities.
Documentation and Reporting : Prepare comprehensive reports, scientific papers, and policy briefs based on research findings.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, or a related field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in agricultural research or a similar role.
Proven expertise in crop science, pest control, and sustainable farming techniques.
Experience with ICAR or other reputed agricultural research institutions is highly desirable.
Strong publication record in reputed journals.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of modern agricultural technologies and precision farming.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage large-scale projects.
Familiarity with agricultural policies, subsidies, and rural development programs in India.
