Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Supervisor to join our team in Jammu & Kashmir. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for our product lines, including hair care, cooking edible oils, spices, and coconut oil. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG sector, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share objectives in the assigned area.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, provide feedback, and share best practices.
- Identify training and development needs for the sales team and facilitate relevant training programs.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
- Address customer queries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular visits to key accounts to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
Market Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, trade shows, and events to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns.
Inventory and Distribution Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
- Oversee the distribution network to ensure broad market coverage and product availability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG sector (or closely related sectors).
- Strong understanding of the Jammu & Kashmir market.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market share growth.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
