Cyber Security Engineer RoleProtecting computer networks, applications, and data requires skilled individuals to design, implement, and maintain robust security systems. As a Cyber Security Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard against potential threats by developing and implementing effective cybersecurity technologies.Security Architecture & Implementation: You will design, deploy, and manage cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection tools, and SIEM platforms. Your expertise will also extend to threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and incident response strategies.Threat Detection & Incident Response: In this role, you will monitor security alerts and logs to detect suspicious activities, conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, and lead the response efforts to minimize potential damage.Vulnerability Management: Regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests will be conducted under your supervision. You will identify potential risks, collaborate with IT/engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).Policy, Compliance & Governance: Developing and maintaining comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards is crucial for our organization. You will ensure that these guidelines align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and our business objectives.Identity & Access Management: Managing IAM tools, enforcing least-privilege access controls, overseeing MFA, SSO, and privileged access management solutions are critical components of this position. Your expertise in these areas will help us maintain a secure environment while ensuring seamless access for authorized personnel.Required Skills & Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field is essential. Proficiency in network security, firewalls, and security protocols is necessary, along with hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel). Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and strong understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and incident response are highly desirable.
