Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Librarian with proven experience in an academic or institutional library setting. The ideal candidate will assist in the management and delivery of library services, ensuring resources are effectively organized and accessible to all users. This role involves both technical and customer-facing responsibilities, requiring excellent organizational skills, a passion for information management, and a commitment to supporting learners and researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, catalog, and maintain library materials and systems.
- Assist users in locating and accessing resources.
- Support the use of library management systems and digital platforms.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and track usage data.
- Promote library services and organize events and workshops.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an academic or institutional library environment.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in MS Office and library software.
- Commitment to fostering a user-friendly library environment.
