Job OverviewThe role of Manager - Construction Accounting is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the financial accounting functions within the organization. This involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of construction projects.Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and comprehensive set of controls and budgets.Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Coordinate and facilitate the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, including ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for the tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure control over actual expenses vs Budget and participate in cash management position and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.RequirementsCertified Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and excellent follow-up skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.
