Job Overview:Senior DevOps EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure.Required Skills and Qualifications:Cloud Platforms:Proficiency in AWS's compute, storage, and networking services.Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management:IaC Tools: Experience with tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources.Configuration Management: Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for automating system configuration.Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI to build, test, and deploy applications automatically.Containerization and Orchestration:Containerization: Mastery of Docker for packaging applications and their dependencies.Orchestration: Experience with Kubernetes to manage, scale, and deploy containerized applications.Programming and Scripting:The ability to write code is crucial for automation. Common languages include Python, Bash (Shell scripting), Ruby, and Go.Version Control:Expert use of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for source code management, branching, and merging.Linux and Networking Fundamentals:Strong understanding of the Linux operating system (administration, command-line utilities) and fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).Monitoring and Logging (Observability):Setting up and managing systems to track application and infrastructure performance.
