Job Title: State Head Location: Pune  ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: APD is dedicated to enable, equip and empower Personswith Disabilities (PwD) through a variety of programs including EarlyIntervention, Inclusive Education, Livelihood, Spinal Cord InjuryRehabilitation, Policy Advocacy, Community Mental Health, MultidisciplinaryRehabilitation, Institute of Disability Rehabilitation, and Research. We arecommitted to creating an inclusive society where individuals with disabilitiescan thrive. POSITION SUMMARY: The state head will play a pivotal role in leading andmanaging our diverse programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for PwD.This position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for social impact andthe ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The statehead will oversee program development, implementation, and fundraising whileensuring alignment with the organization's mission and strategic goals.  KEYRESPONSIBILITIES  ProgramLeadership and Management - Develop and Implement Programs: Design and manage ahigh -quality portfolio of programs that address the needs of PwD, ensuring theyare innovative and scalable. - Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring andevaluation frameworks to assess program impact and effectiveness; regularlyreview program outcomes and make necessary adjustments. - Resource Management: Oversee program budgets,ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining financial accountability.  Collaborationand Stakeholder Engagement - Partnership Development: Build and maintain strongrelationships with community organizations, government agencies, donors, andother stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness. - Advocacy: Represent the organization in relevantforums to advocate for policies that support PwD and promote inclusivepractices.  Team Leadership - Staff Development: Lead, mentor, and support programstaff to foster a collaborative and high -performing team environment. - Capacity Building: Identify training needs for staffand facilitate professional development opportunities.  Research andPolicy Development - Conduct Research: Lead research initiatives thatinform program design and advocacy efforts; disseminate findings to relevantstakeholders. - Policy Advocacy: Engage with policymakers toinfluence legislation affecting PwD; contribute to policy papers and positionstatements. CapacityBuilding - Identify opportunities for organizational growth andsupport the development of additional resources, systems, and frameworks toenhance the impact of the center. -  Ensure theteam has the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out programs effectively. Fundraising & Resource Mobilization : - Lead fundraising strategies for SCIR centre tosecure necessary resources and sustain operations. - Develop a comprehensive fundraising plan,identifying new revenue source, including government grants, corporatepartnership, and individual donors. - Engage with existing and penitential donors andfunding organizations to raise funds for ongoing and new projects. - Ensure transparency and accountability in allfundraising activities, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.  QUALIFICATIONS  Education - A postgraduate degree in MSW, Public Health,Disability Studies, Rehabilitation or a related field.  Experience - Minimum of 10 years of experience in programmanagement within the non -profit sector, particularly in disability services orsocial development. - Proven track record in developing partnerships andsecuring funding for programs. - Experience in monitoring and evaluationmethodologies.  Skills - Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspireand motivate teams. - Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. - Strategic thinking with problem -solvingcapabilities. - Proficiency in financial management includingbudgeting and resource allocation. - Familiarity with current trends in disability rightsand inclusive practices.      Competencies - Passionate commitment to the rights of PwD. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multiculturalenvironment. - Strong networking skills within the developmentsector. - Openness to technological advancements that enhanceprogram delivery.
