Job Overview:

The Director/Head of IQAC is responsible for leading the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, ensuring adherence to guidelines from accrediting and regulatory agencies, and enhancing the institution’s rankings. The role involves managing ratings and rankings for frameworks such as NIRF, QS, and NAAC. Additionally, it includes overseeing the quality of academic and administrative processes, collecting data from various departments, and presenting it for accreditation purposes.


Key Responsibilities:

IQAC Coordination:

  • Formulate and implement the IQAC’s annual activity plan.
  • Organize and lead IQAC meetings to address quality issues and devise improvement strategies.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain thorough records of quality initiatives, meetings, and reports.
  • Submit required documents to regulatory and accrediting bodies on time.

Quality Assurance Policies:

  • Assist in the development, review, and dissemination of quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Inform faculty, staff, and students about quality policies.

Benchmarking & Best Practices:

  • Conduct benchmarking exercises to identify top quality assurance practices in higher education.
  • Implement these practices to enhance academic and administrative processes.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of quality initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports on quality activities to higher authorities.

Training & Capacity Building:

  • Organize workshops and training sessions to promote quality assurance understanding.
  • Foster capacity-building efforts to strengthen academic and administrative units.

Audits:

  • Manage both internal and external quality assurance audits.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to resolve findings and implement improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement in quality assurance processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive measures.

Accreditation Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and requirements.
  • Support the preparation of accreditation documents and responses.

Advisory Role:

  • Provide expert guidance on quality assurance to departments across the university.
