Job Title: Senior ProgrammerWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Programmer to provide expert programming support to our statistics and programming department. This role involves working on a range of projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.Main Responsibilities:Manipulate large databases to generate reports for analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets.Implement complex logic using SAS and SQL programming skills.Create complex analysis datasets from various data sources, ensuring accuracy and quality.Bulk relevant experience building patient cohorts and evaluating patient healthcare events in large databases.Apply observational research methods, such as epidemiology and statistical methods.Skill Requirements:Programming Skills:R and SQL programming proficiency.Expertise in Oncology databases (Flatiron, COTA).Data Analysis:Good understanding of Oncology-specific analyses (Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, different statistical models).Experience with Analytic Datasets, patient cohorts desirable.Communication & Collaboration:Effective leadership of internal and client study team meetings.Presentation of study updates internally and at client meetings.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other subject with high statistical content.Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or other subject with high statistical content desirable.Experience:Minimum four years SAS statistical programming experience.Database programming using SQL.Experience with advanced statistical methods (survival and regression).Real-world healthcare claims and EHR data experience (MarketScan, Optum, Flatiron Health, SEER medicare and Medicare databases).Other Information:Training or experience using the OMOP common data model.Pharmaceutical industry experience desirable.Keyword: Database Administrator
