Responsibilities & Key DeliverablesKey Tasks and DeliverablesCollaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and validation teams to define and execute component testing for EPT hardware focusing on battery systems.Review and finalize DVPs, DFMEAs, test standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with global automotive and EV regulations.Establish and manage detailed test schedules and budgets to meet program milestones and cost objectives.Prepare comprehensive MIS reports and present findings in cross-functional review meetings.Proactively escalate technical risks, resource constraints, or deviations to leadership.Plan, prioritize, and coordinate physical tests, ensuring optimal utilization of DVP samples and infrastructure resources.Define CAPEX requirements and oversee installation of new test rigs and laboratory facilities.2. Critical Must-Have DeliverablesApproved and fully executed validation test plans covering performance, electrical, mechanical, and safety parameters.Signed-off DVP and DFMEA documentation demonstrating risk coverage for battery modules and packs.Timely submission of MIS dashboards reflecting test progress, budget status, and issue logs.Delivery of root-cause analysis reports (8D) for all critical failures, with corrective action plans.Commissioned battery cycler equipment (e.g., AVL, Arbin, Bitrode) integrated into test workflows.3. Good-to-Have DeliverablesImplementation of automated data-capture and analysis scripts to accelerate result validation.Standardized test setups that reduce sample turnaround time by at least 15%.Contributions to global best-practice repositories for EV battery testing and validation.Training materials or workshops delivered to upskill technicians and junior engineers. Experience2–4 years of hands-on experience in EV battery testing, validation engineering, or a closely related role. Industry PreferredAutomotive industry with emphasis on electric vehicles, powertrain, or battery manufacturing. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.Certification or coursework in automotive standards (e.g., ISO 12405, UN 38.3, SAE J2664, IEC is highly desirable. General Requirements Competencies and SkillsFunctional CompetenciesIn-depth understanding of EV product life cycles and field failure correlation.Expertise in lithium-ion cell, module, and pack validation test case derivation.Strong root-cause analysis skills and data-driven decision making.Tools and Techniques UsedBattery cycler systems (AVL, Arbin, Bitrode) at advanced proficiency.Familiarity with MIS/reporting tools (e.g., Excel Advanced, Power BI).Knowledge of vehicle systems diagnostics and laboratory instrumentation.Behavioral CompetenciesCollaborative mindset with agile problem-solving approach.Bold initiative-taking and execution excellence under tight timelines.Clear communicator comfortable presenting to senior leadership.Adaptable to travel and on-site testing demands.
