Job Description: Senior QC Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, preferably for applications built with Java, Node.js, Typescript. This role will involve leading the automation strategy, designing and implementing test frameworks, and mentoring the team in writing efficient, maintainable, and scalable tests. You will collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:


· Take care of the design, development, and execution of automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of applications.

· Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

· Manage and improve the existing test automation framework using Java, Node.js testing tools (e.g., Mocha, Jest, Chai, or other relevant frameworks).

· Design and implement reusable and efficient test scripts to automate manual test cases.

· Proven experience in building automation framework and continuously evaluate and enhance the automation test suite to ensure maximum coverage and reliability.

· Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain automated test failures.

· Mentor and guide junior automation engineers to ensure adherence to best practices in test automation.

· Maintain thorough documentation for test automation processes, frameworks, and test scripts.

· Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

· Ensure the alignment of test automation efforts with business requirements, project timelines, and team priorities.

· Report test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


· Senior Test Engineer, with a strong focus on Java, Node.js and JavaScript-based test automation.

· Good experience with Java, Node.js testing frameworks such as TestNG, Mocha, Jest, Chai, or Cypress.

· Good Understanding with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SuperTest for RESTful API testing.

· In-depth knowledge of test automation best practices, including creating reusable and maintainable test scripts, managing test data, and handling test environments.

· Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

· Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, etc.).

· Experience with version control systems such as Git.

· Proficiency in writing clean, well-documented code.

· Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

· Ability to work in an Agile development environment.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.


Preferred Skills:


· Experience with TestNG, Cucumber, or Selenium for UI test automation.

· Experience in performance testing and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

· Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments or services.

· Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes for containerized test environments.


Education & Experience:


· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in test automation.

· Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
