Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to lead our database team as we evolve our hybrid data platform.The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's critical database systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement database systems that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and other techniques to ensure efficient data access and system response times.Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and regular security audits.Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to integrate database solutions with data pipelines, analytics platforms, and software applications.Mentor junior database administrators and foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.Stay current on emerging database technologies and identify opportunities for their application within our data infrastructure.Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improvement in our data management practices.Requirements:5+ years of experience in database administration, preferably in a hybrid data platform environment.Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale database systems.Strong understanding of database performance optimization techniques and data security best practices.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
