Position: Backend Software Developer Experience Required: 2–3 years Location: [Remote] Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Product-based (Quick Commerce / eCommerce preferred) About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Backend Software Developer with 2–3 years of experience in a product-based company. The role involves developing and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and services that power our applications. Prior experience in Quick Commerce, eCommerce, or other consumer-facing platforms will be considered a strong advantage. Buncha is a rapidly expanding social commerce and delivery platform transforming how customers connect with the stores they love. We deliver affordable, reliable groceries and household essentials through scheduled, community-driven deliveries. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Build and manage APIs (RESTful/GraphQL) to support product functionalities. Optimize application performance and database queries for scalability. Ensure application reliability, security, and performance standards are met. Work with cloud services ( AWS/GCP/Azure ) for hosting and deployment. Participate in code reviews, testing, and best practices for software development. Contribute to architecture discussions and help improve overall system design. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2-3 years of hands-on backend development experience in a product-based company. Proficiency in backend programming language Node.js(must have) , Python, etc. Experience with frameworks such as Express.js and Graphql. Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis) . Exposure to microservices architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD practices. Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be a plus. Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka for event-driven systems. Experience with Elastic Search will be considered a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments. Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects with self-starting attitude, responsibility, and accountability Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
