Integration Data Specialist RoleThe Integration Data Specialist will be responsible for analyzing legacy mainframe data flows, documenting source-to-target mappings, and supporting the ETL/ELT migration to Snowflake.Analyze mainframe JCL jobs, COBOL programs, and batch workflows to extract transformation logic.Create and maintain source-to-target data mapping (STTM) documents.Define data transformation, aggregation, and derivation rules.Partner with Data Engineers to validate Snowflake data pipelines and performance.Collaborate with Reporting Analysts to ensure data supports Power BI requirements.Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks between legacy and modern platforms.Strong expertise in data analysis, data mapping, and lineage documentation.Good understanding of mainframe data ecosystems (COBOL, VSAM, DB2, flat files), SQL, ETL tools (Databricks, Mattillion).Proven ability to analyze JCL and batch processing logic.Experience in data validation and reconciliation during migrations.Familiarity with Snowflake architecture and data modeling concepts.Exposure to Data Mesh and API-based integration.Understanding of data governance, metadata, and cataloging tools.This role requires a strong technical background in data analysis and manipulation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mainframe systems, ETL tools, and cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake.As an Integration Data Specialist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
