Cyber Security Specialist Role SummaryOur organization is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to assume responsibility for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security systems to safeguard computer networks, applications, and sensitive data.Key Responsibilities & RequirementsSecurity Architecture & ImplementationDesign, deploy, and manage cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools to ensure maximum protection against emerging threats.Implement comprehensive security controls for cloud, network, application, and endpoint environments to prevent unauthorized access.Develop and maintain secure system configurations and hardening guidelines to minimize vulnerabilities.Threat Detection & Incident ResponseMonitor security alerts and logs to identify potential security breaches and investigate security incidents promptly.Lead response efforts and perform root cause analysis to implement preventive measures and mitigate future risks.Vulnerability ManagementConduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses.Collaborate with IT/engineering teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities and maintain the organization's risk register.Policy, Compliance & GovernanceDevelop and maintain up-to-date security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.Ensure adherence to industry best practices and conduct security awareness training for employees to foster a culture of security within the organization.Identity & Access ManagementManage IAM tools and enforce least-privilege access controls to restrict user privileges and prevent unauthorized access.Oversee MFA, SSO, and privileged access management solutions to enhance overall security posture.Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to maintain secure environments and develop collaborative strategies to improve security posture.Prepare detailed security reports, incident summaries, and audit documentation to facilitate informed decision-making.
