Big Data Engineer RoleJob Overview:We are seeking a seasoned Big Data professional with extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing large-scale data processing systems using Hadoop, PySpark, and MySQL. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of deploying and optimizing complex Big Data architectures within on-premises environments.Key Responsibilities:Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes using PySpark and Python capable of handling large volumes of data, ranging in the millions of records.Deploy and Manage Big Data Clusters: Deploy, configure, and maintain Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS, YARN, Hive, and HBase in on-premises environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization and optimal performance.Optimize Performance and Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve complex issues related to data processing and infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and high-quality data integrity.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to integrate data analytics solutions and support business requirements, driving strategic decision-making through actionable insights.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;Proven experience 3+ years working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, PySpark, and MySQL in on-premises environments and handling large-scale data volumes, including datasets with millions of records;Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in developing APIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams;Hands-on experience in Linux and familiarity with containerization using Docker;Expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing Big Data clusters in a local data center, ensuring efficient resource utilization and optimal performance;Proficiency in monitoring and performance tuning of Hadoop and PySpark clusters, identifying and resolving complex issues related to data processing and infrastructure;Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, communicating technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders;Experience with Apache Airflow, Kafka, Apache Flink, and Apache NiFi for data orchestration and streaming is a plus;Preferred Skills:Certification in Hadoop or related Big Data technologies;
