Job Description

The Senior Architect is responsible for:

The development of architectural designs

·        Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations

·        Leading project teams and coordinating with other departments

·        Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders

·        Mentoring junior architects and assisting in their professional development

 

Project Management

 Initiating Projects

  • Review project briefs and set initial project objectives.
  • Organize a kickoff meeting with the project team to discuss requirements.

Planning Stage

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan detailing timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before proceeding.

Execution Phase

  •  Monitor the progress of projects against the project plan.
  • Adjust project plans as necessary to account for unforeseen circumstances.

 Closure

  • Upon project completion, ensure all documentation is finalized and archived.
  • Conduct a project debrief with the team to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Design Development

Conceptual Design

Create and present conceptual designs to clients for approval.

Iterate on design concepts based on feedback received.

Detailed Design

Oversee the production of detailed architectural drawings and specifications.

 Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate all systems into the design.

Design Review

Regularly review design documents for quality assurance.

Address any issues or changes that arise during the design phase.

 

Client Interaction

Meetings

Schedule regular meetings with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.

Prepare presentation materials for client meetings, ensuring that all information is clear and accurate.

Communication

Maintain open lines of communication with all project stakeholders.'

Provide clear and timely responses to any inquiries or concerns from clients.

 

Team Leadership

Team Coordination

Assign tasks to team members based on individual strengths and project requirements.

Conduct regular team meetings to ensure everyone is informed and aligned with project goals.

Professional Development

 Encourage continuous learning and skill enhancement among team members.

Provide mentoring and guidance to junior architects and interns.

 

Compliance

Ensure that all design work and architectural practices adhere to:

Maintain accurate records of all architectural processes, including:
