- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines and architectures using AWS services like S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Architect data solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Design and optimize Redshift data warehouses and data models to support advanced analytics and reporting needs.
- Lead efforts to automate ETL/ELT processes, integrating various data sources into a unified data lake or data warehouse environment.
- Develop and implement best practices for data engineering, including data quality, governance, and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices in data design, coding, and performance tuning.
- Ensure efficient data movement between different AWS services using Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions, while leveraging orchestration and automation where appropriate.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and query performance within Redshift and other databases.
- Implement robust data architecture frameworks, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting, analysis, and machine learning purposes.
