Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking technical reviews, peer reviews, and checks to ensure the quality of our designs.You will work closely with our Associate/ Principal Engineer to provide continuous feedback on our protocols and processes to identify areas for improvement. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to develop positive professional relationships with our team members and communicate project progress effectively.In addition to these key responsibilities, you will participate in project meetings, manage delegated tasks, and identify potential risk issues. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the design of commercial and residential buildings at various stages of development.Key Responsibilities:Technical Reviews: Undertake technical reviews, peer reviews, checks, and contribute to the design.Continuous Improvement: Provide continuous feedback to the Associate/ Principal Engineer on the effectiveness of the protocols and processes in place with a view to continuous improvement.Communication: Develop positive professional relationships with the team, communicating openly about project progress.Project Meetings: Participate in Project meetings, team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams.Risk Management: Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes.Task Management: Manage delegated tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and flag resourcing concerns to team leader.Additional Fees: Identify and flag additional fees to the Associate/ Principal Engineer.Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:B.Tech/B.E.(Civil/Environmental/Mechanical)Plumbing & Fire Protection design experience for commercial and residential buildings for concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.Fixture load calculations, pipe pressure drop calculations.Pipe sizing for hot & cold water and fire protection.Preparation of plumbing and fire equipment.Schedules for pumps, pipes, valves, etc., and BOQs.Preparation of layouts, schematics, sections, plant rooms hand mark-ups.ASHRAE and ISHRAE, ASPE, IPC, all NFPA Fire codes and standards.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package and opportunities for career growth and development.How to ApplyIf you are a motivated and experienced Design Engineer looking for a new challenge, please submit your application.
