Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our global 24x7 production infrastructure, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our multi-site environments. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.Key Responsibilities Include:Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security of our international 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure.Problem-Solving: Root-cause complex problems involving multiple stakeholders, network, hardware, and software that relate to scaling and performance.Monitoring and Reporting: Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting in the production environment.Architecture Design: Contribute to the evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure.On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation and be willing to jump on escalated issues as needed.Requirements:5+ years of experience managing, troubleshooting, and tuning Linux systems.A friendly and collaborative demeanor, working well with cross-functional teams.Experience automating management of systems and applications using Perl, Python, or Ruby.Industry-standard foundation technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, and LDAP.Experience in management of a large, distributed computing environment.Virtualization experience - KVM, VMware vSphere, and/or OpenStack.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with monitoring and alerting systems.Configuration management experience with Puppet or Chef.Load-balancing experience - F5, Netscaler or similar desired.Desired: Kafka, Elastic Search, Cassandra, and MySQL experience.
