Job Description We are seeking a skilled and disciplined Mid-Level DBA Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our global team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a diverse team across the globe. You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our cloud-based database systems, ensuring high performance, availability, and scalability.Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and optimize database systems hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)Provide expertise in managing and administering Aurora MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDBCollaborate with the DevOps team to implement infrastructure as code using TerraformWork with a global team, participating in a 24x7 support rotation as needed.Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of all database environments.Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.Assist in capacity planning, backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery drills.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or in a similar role.Proven expertise in managing and administering Aurora MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDBSolid understanding of AWS Cloud features and services relevant to database managementGood knowledge and practical experience with TerraformFamiliarity with DevOps principles and practicesStrong sense of trustworthiness, discipline, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision.Additional Skills (Good to Have):Knowledge of shell scriptingExperience with YAML coding Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
