Senior Accountant – Bookkeeping, PayrollAre you a highly skilled accountant seeking a challenging role in bookkeeping and payroll? We are looking for an experienced professional to manage full-cycle accounting operations, oversee tax filings, run payroll, support entity setup, and create scalable systems. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-growth leadership role with significant autonomy, ownership, and upward mobility.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle accounting operations for multiple U.S. entities, including daily and monthly accounting tasks, general ledger reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and reporting.Oversee tax filings, including preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065), K-1s, quarterly estimated taxes, and compliance calendars.Run payroll using systems like Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc., ensure proper worker classification (W-2 vs. 1099), and manage payroll tax filings and year-end compliance.Support clients with LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnership setup, apply for TIN for foreign owners, assist with EIN registration, S-Corp elections, state filings, and compliance, and advise clients on best entity structures based on tax and operational needs.Serve as the main point of contact for accounting and tax matters, present clear financial insights, recommendations, and analysis, manage deadlines and deliverables across multiple clients, and build long-term client relationships based on trust and expertise.Requirements:5+ years of U.S. accounting and tax filing experience.Strong experience with corporate and partnership returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065, K-1s).Hands-on experience preparing filings for 1099s, W-2s, payroll taxes, and foreign partner structures.Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, and payroll platforms.Demonstrated ability to create systems or processes from scratch.Strong communication and leadership skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.High sense of ownership and accountability.Benefits:Fully remote, work-from-home role.Major growth potential – opportunity to become Director or Head of Accounting.Direct involvement in building processes, systems, and a full team.High autonomy with real decision-making authority.Supportive culture that rewards ownership, initiative, and problem-solving.
