Senior Software Platform Manager

Key Job Responsibilities:This role entails managing and optimizing multiple software platforms, including CRM, LMS, ERP, and SIS, to support institutional operations and student success.The lead is responsible for ensuring the customization of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, secure authentication via single sign-on (SSO) protocols, and enforcing data compliance and integrity.Core responsibilities include managing platform integrations using APIs, webhooks, and middleware, with a strong focus on interoperability standards such as Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI), OneRoster, and Ed-Fi.Principal Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesDeliver tangible results. Establish benchmarks and learning goals; develop structures that link campaign performance to business outcomes, customer lifetime value (CLV), and retention.Advance personalization with machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI). Develop or partner on models (propensity, churn, next-best action, send-time/content optimization, uplift modeling) and integrate them into CRM decisioning and orchestration.Lead experimentation at scale. Build and run A/B and multivariate tests; apply sound statistical methods (power analysis, capping, sequential testing, causal inference) to produce trustworthy results.Develop robust analytics. Use SQL/Python for data modeling and reproducible pipelines; compose self-serve datasets and dashboards to accelerate decision-making.Optimize channel strategy. Evaluate email, push, in-app, onsite, and lifecycle programs; recommend frequency, targeting, and creative strategies grounded in data.Tell the story. Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior collaborators; influence roadmaps and CRM evolution.Improve the craft. Guide analysts, advocate for guidelines in documentation, code review, and experimentation hygiene; promote an inclusive, growth-focused culture.Safeguard data use. Partner with Legal/Privacy to ensure compliance (e.g., GDPR), guardrails, and responsible AI practices.RequirementsHands-on CRM analytics experience delivering impact in a consumer or marketplace context.Machine-learning & AI experience applied to CRM/personalization (e.g., propensity, churn, LTV/CLV modeling, recommendation/next-best action, uplift).Experimentation & statistics expertise, including test building, sample sizing, variance reduction, and causal inference.SQL and Python proficiency for data wrangling, modeling, and automation; familiarity with data warehouses and version control.Dashboarding & data visualization skills (Tableau preferred) to build clear, credible self-serve insights.Business sense proven through translating insights into strategies that yield measurable outcomes.Communication & collaborator leadership across Marketing, Product, and Engineering; ability to influence at executive level.Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).Minimum 15+ years of experience in EdTech systems administration or CRM management.Proven track record in platform integration, data governance, and cross-functional collaboration.Certifications in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Administrator) or EdTech tools are a plus.Technical RequirementsProficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Meritto or Zoho.Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (D2L Brightspace, Moodle, Canvas).Working knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) like Digii, Banner, PowerSchool, or Jenzabar.Development SkillsBasic HTML/CSS for interface tweaks, knowledge of layout builders.Scripting/Programming - Languages like JavaScript, Python, or platform-specific scripting (e.g., Apex for Salesforce).Data & IntegrationUnderstanding data structures, schemas, and relationships within the system.System Integration & DevelopmentExperience integrating tools/platforms via APIs, webhooks, and middleware solutions.Hands-on experience in system configuration, workflow automation, and process optimization.Basic to intermediate understanding of:SQL for data querying and reportingAPI development and integrationSSO (Single Sign-On) protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth2)Data interoperability standards (e.g., IMS Global, Ed-Fi)LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability): Connects LMSs with third-party tools/content.OneRoster: Standardizes the exchange of class rosters, grades, and assignments between SIS and LMS.QTI (Question and Test Interoperability): Standard for digital assessments.Data Governance & ComplianceStrong grasp of data protection laws (e.g., FERPA, GDPR, HIPAA if applicable).Understanding of user privacy standards and access control best practices.AI-Driven Automation & Workflow IntelligenceFamiliarity with AI-based workflow automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Einstein Automate, Power Automate with AI Builder).Experience integrating AI chatbots or virtual assistants for support workflows (e.g., Freshdesk or Salesforce bots).Ability to design or configure predictive workflows that optimize user onboarding, engagement, or communication triggers.Project & Stakeholder ManagementProven ability in project management, preferably using tools like JIRA, Asana, or Monday.com.Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional communication skills.Experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
