Architectural Storyteller Role Overview:The position of Architectural Content Writer & Junior Editor involves harmonizing design expertise with compelling narrative, editorial excellence, and creative communication. The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, writing, curation, and shaping meaningful discourse in the design industry.Content Development & Architectural Journalism:Write, edit, and develop high-quality articles, features, interviews, and project stories showcasing architectural innovation.Craft narratives highlighting design concepts, process, context, and user experience.Produce content for blogs, newsletters, magazine issues, website pages, and social platforms.Design Analysis & Research:Critically examine architectural projects with a strong understanding of spatial design, materiality, sustainability, and user experience.Conduct in-depth research on design topics, trends, technologies, and global architectural movements.Prepare reference notes, project summaries, and structured research to support editorial work.Editorial Support Responsibilities:Assist in building and managing the editorial calendar for publications and digital platforms.Perform editing, proofreading, fact-checking, and quality checks on submitted content.Coordinate with contributors, writers, and collaborators to ensure timely submissions.Maintain consistency in tone, grammar, voice, and design accuracy across all written content.Magazine Promotion & Community Engagement:Support the promotion of publications across digital channels.Write promotional posts, highlight reels, teasers, and feature announcements for social media.Collaborate with the marketing team to improve visibility, engagement, and subscriber growth.Strategic Collaboration:Work closely with leadership to align editorial direction with brand goals.Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content creators to produce engaging narratives.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent qualification.Strong command over written English with a flair for storytelling.Interest or experience in architectural journalism, design critique, or research.Strong editorial sense—grammar, structure, and clarity.Ability to analyse and articulate architectural concepts effectively.Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.Preferred Skills:Previous experience in journalism, editorial roles, or magazine writing.Understanding of digital content strategy.Basic visual communication skills.Photography or interest in visual storytelling.
