**Product Engineer Role Summary**We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our global team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and improving AI-enabled applications.As a Product Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and improve our AI-enabled products.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, improve, and extend the Ubuntoo AI application (with support from external development partners).Lead the build-out of new product features: architecture → coding → testing → deployment.Write clean, scalable code across the stack (React, Node.js/Java + Python).Manage engineering workflows including Jira, code reviews, and quality standards.Support product discovery: translate user needs into product requirements.Integrate with AI components (RAG pipelines, API-driven LLM features, AI agents).Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of backend services and cloud infrastructure.Required Skills and Qualifications:Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields2 – 3 years of software development experience.Strong in at least two of: React (front-end), Python, Node.js/Java.Understanding of APIs, microservices, and modern web app architecture.Exposure to AI concepts — RAG, LangChain-style orchestration, vector databases — enough to integrate and use them (not develop models from scratch).Solid understanding of relational & non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).Benefits:Learn directly from a US-based CTO — ideal for someone looking to fast-track their career.Own major parts of the product from day one.Clear career path: grow into Head of Engineering or Product Manager depending on strengths.Build products that combine AI + real-world impact.Work in a flexible, global, mission-driven environment.
