Company Description The Nutri Jar is a health-oriented food brand dedicated to providing nutrient-rich mixes tailored specifically for babies, toddlers, kids, and mothers. As a second venture, We are building an interactive early-learning YouTube channel focused on phonics, rhymes, actions, and toddler learning. Role Description We are seeking a Highly Skilled & Creative Animator (2D + 3D) with strong video editing and basic cinematography skills. The ideal candidate: Brings characters and educational concepts to life through expressive motion Understands visual rhythm suitable for ages 2–5 Can handle both animation + live shoot support Is adaptable, fast-learning, and committed to quality This is a full-time, on-site role based on Kodungaiyur,Chennai with long-term growth potential. The 3D Character Animator will be responsible for designing, rigging, and animating characters, ensuring seamless motion and attention to detail. Daily tasks include implementing motion capture techniques, creating detailed and dynamic animations, and utilizing software like Blender, Adobe creative cloud to bring characters to life. The role also involves storyboarding to conceptualize and plan animations in alignment with creative goals. Required Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience in Animation (2D & 3D) Strong understanding of key animation principles : Squash & Stretch Anticipation Timing & Spacing Posing & Acting Smooth transitions Proficiency in: Blender for 3D animation and rigging Adobe Animate or After Effects for 2D animation Premiere Pro for editing Canva / Photoshop (thumbnail design) Ability to create child-friendly animation with calm pacing (non-hyperstimulating) Experience handling cameras, lighting, and basic set arrangements Strong sense of storytelling, emotion, and educational clarity Ability to deliver projects fast without compromising quality Bonus Skills (Huge Advantage) Experience working on kids or educational content Ability to design characters from scratch Sound design experience Understanding of child-safe pacing and color psychology Key Responsibilities Animation (Core Responsibilities) Create high-quality 2D character, prop, and object animations using Adobe Animate / After Effects. Build 3D character models, rigs, and animations in Blender (simple, child-friendly style). Animate educational elements such as: Talking letters Phonics mouth shapes Action cues (jump, run, crawl) Rhymes & story elements Use animation timing, posing, spacing, arcs, and anticipation appropriate for kids’ content. Create smooth motion graphics, lyric pop-ups, emoji cues, and transitions. Video Editing Edit full-length (20–40 min) kids’ learning episodes with clean pacing and rhythm. Sync visuals, music, voiceovers, and sound effects. Apply color correction, safe visual effects, and engaging overlays. Deliver final videos in high-quality 4K/1080p formats. Shooting Support Set up camera, lights, audio, background props during shoot days. Frame shots correctly for toddler-focused content. Understand basic cinematography, lighting placement, white balance, and exposure. Creative Collaboration Storyboard scenes and propose visual ideas before shoots. Maintain consistency in character style, color palette, and educational tone. Brainstorm with the founder on new episode ideas and visual formats.
