Senior Backend Software EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/Spring Boot, with experience in developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services, collaborating with architects and senior engineers, and ensuring smooth integration of backend services with frontend applications and third-party systems.Mentorship & Technical LeadershipThe ideal candidate will mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance. They will also promote engineering best practices, contribute to defining and improving coding guidelines, development workflows, and engineering processes.Innovation & ToolingWe encourage the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-assisted engineering tools to optimize development, debugging, and testing workflows. The ideal candidate will identify and propose new tools, frameworks, or libraries that enhance team productivity and software quality.Quality & PerformanceThe successful candidate will partner with QA and SRE teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across environments. They will develop and maintain automated test suites for unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.Cross-Team CollaborationThe ideal candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.Required Skills & Qualifications6–8 years of hands-on software development experience.Strong backend development expertise with Java / Spring Boot, and working exposure to frontend technologies (React/Angular is a plus).Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong proficiency in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) and system design fundamentals.Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, etc.).Strong skills in debugging, performance tuning, and distributed system troubleshooting.Experience with Kubernetes/Docker, Git, and Agile methodologies.Interest or experience in integrating LLMs / AI tools into engineering workflows for code generation, testing, or automation.
