Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end automation of Perforce-to-GitHub migration workflows, developing tools and scripts in Python, Shell/Bash and PowerShell to automate tasks, creating and maintaining automated validation/testing frameworks, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate migration automation into CI/CD pipelines and defining, implementing and enforcing GitHub branching strategies.Design and Develop Automated Workflows: The specialist will design, develop and execute automated workflows to support the migration of source control systems from Perforce to GitHub.Develop Tools and Scripts: Develop tools and scripts (Python, Shell/Bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks such as repository cloning, permission mapping, branch restructuring, and metadata handling.Create and Maintain Automated Validation/Testing Frameworks: Create and maintain automated validation/testing frameworks to ensure integrity of migrated datasets—commit history, branches, tags, permissions, and access controls.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with DevOps, QA, and development teams to integrate migration automation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring post-migration build and deployment stability.
