Information Technology Network Engineer

Position Summary:We are seeking a knowledgeable and self-driven IT Network Engineer to support ourorganization's network infrastructure across processing centers, stores, hubs, andcorporate offices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, andtroubleshooting networks, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the ITinfrastructure. This is a hands-on role involving proactive network monitoring, incidentresponse, and implementation of network best practices.Key Responsibilities:Network Configuration & Maintenance- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and othernetwork devices.- Monitor network performance and proactively address latency, connectivity, orthroughput issues.- Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data networks through redundancyand failover strategies.- Implement firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes as needed.Troubleshooting & Support- Respond to network incidents and resolve issues related to LAN/WAN, wireless, andinternet connectivity.- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve external connectivityissues.- Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and issue resolutionprocedures.Security & Compliance- Ensure secure network access through firewalls, VPNs, and authentication controls.- Monitor network for unusual activity, perform vulnerability assessments, and applycorrective actions.- Collaborate with IT security team to implement policies and ensure compliance withdata protection standards.Collaboration & Implementation- Work with cross-functional IT teams to support new location setups including hubsand stores.- Assist in network capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.- Provide network-related input for IT infrastructure and service desk projects.Reporting & Documentation- Maintain logs for network events and generate performance and availability reports.- Create SOPs for network deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting procedures.- Update inventory records of network devices and components.Required Qualifications & Skills:Experience:- 2–4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.- Experience in managing multi-site enterprise networks including retail or warehouselocations.- Experience working with ISPs and vendor coordination for field implementation.Technical Skills:-Strong understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, SNMP.-Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar networking equipment.-Hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco Meraki dashboard and devices.-Experience with Fortinet firewalls including rule management and site-to-site VPNsetup.-Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting Aruba wireless networks, includingInstant APs and controllers.-Knowledge of firewall configuration, ACLs, and secure access policies.-Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix).-Understanding of wireless networking standards and troubleshooting (2.4GHz/5GHzWi-Fi).Soft Skills:- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.- Effective communication and documentation abilities.- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.- Willingness to travel to sites as required.Education & Certifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or equivalentexperience.- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are strongly preferred.Why Join Us?- Be part of a tech-forward team modernizing IT infrastructure across retail andlogistics.- Opportunity to manage and scale critical network infrastructure across locations.- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with exposure to cloud, security, and automation technologies.
