The Secure Power Division of Schneider Electric has a great opportunity, to join our EcoStruxure Software Business as an Electrical Engineer at our R&D Design Hub in Bangalore, India.If this sounds like you, then read on…In this role you will work closely with other R&D engineers and be accountable to develop electronic hardware for embedded systems; to ensure adequate performance, quality, and reliability of the product; as well as compliance to specific ratings, product specifications, agency, and standards requirements.  The ideal candidate for this position has a demonstrated interest in microprocessor-based systems and is capable of performing highly technical work. You are a team player who possesses organizational and communication skills and has strong problem-solving abilities in dealing with both electrical and mechanical equipment.This position reports to the EcoStruxure Software Business, Secure Power Division of Schneider Electric.  Essential FunctionsLead product electronic design specifications in the cross-functional team including Offer Management, Industrialization, Firmware, Software, Mechanical and our other R&D colleaguesTake ownership of hardware development through specification and selection of electrical and electronic components, testing and validation, both on bench and in systemsDevelop electrical schematicsRegulatory compliance and maintenance of embedded systems and componentsPerform integration of subsystems and subassemblies in conjunction with new design, product improvement, field, and production problem/resolutionSustaining engineering includes finding and testing new components to end-of-life and unavailability issues.Provide support for troubleshooting all system related issuesEnsure cross-functional collaboration (purchasing, manufacturing, quality assurance, mechanical, test, etc.) and be involved with new product development processSupport the team in knowledge management and continuous improvement activitiesExercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Maintains an up-to-date thorough knowledge of applicable codes and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university or institute of technology.Experience in the elaboration of electronic and electrical schematics and have familiarity with electronics agency and standard requirements.Three or more years of embedded microprocessor circuit design and related areas. (Experience in designing embedded microprocessor solutions)You are capable of working in an independent manner, an eager learner, and not afraid to tackle new things.Keys to SuccessYou are Fluent in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.You have a strong aptitude for understanding and communicating technical requirementsYou possess the ability to recognize and extract the relevant requirements from complex documentsYou value attention to detail, thoroughness, and information management.You are available for some limited foreign and domestic travel as needed (2-3 times per annum typically)
