Technical Data Engineer RoleThis role involves being a primary technical contact for clients and their IT leadership as the lead engineer on projects. You will be working with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to deliver results.You will be responsible for implementing and supporting AI solutions in customer success post-sales. Key responsibilities include:Working hands-on with CDP platforms and components to implement data pipelines and integrationsCollaborating with Solution Architects, Consultants, Engagement Managers, and Product Engineers to deliver complex customer use casesActing as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor for customers along with the Solution ArchitectCaptaining junior engineers on the teamDesigning and configuring workflows based on client business needs using SQL, Python, and cloud infrastructureBuilding data models that support personalization, lookalike modeling, and omnichannel activationSetting up ETL pipelines across disparate sources and creating unified customer viewsConfiguring product features and external data connections (APIs, S3, etc.)Creating detailed technical documentationProactively identifying and resolving blockers to ensure project timelines are metRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Information Management6+ years of experience in a customer-facing SaaS solution implementation involving large datasets, such as ETL, Data Warehousing, AnalyticsProficiency in SQL, troubleshooting relational datasets, scripting (Python, Ruby, Shell), and cloud-based systems (AWS preferred)Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, usage through Postman or cURLExperience setting up ETL processes and integrating data sourcesKnowledge of data modeling and customer data infrastructure (CDP, CRM, DMP, etc.) and data exploration experienceExperience with APIs and familiarity with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift) and deployment practicesStrong mindset of independent ownership and ability to raise risks, prioritize tasks, estimate time, advise stakeholders on dependenciesExcellent customer-facing verbal and written communication skillsAbility to explain complex problems to technical experts and non-technical stakeholdersProficiency in SDLC methodologies and Agile development tools like Asana, Jira, SmartsheetCustomer-first and data-obsessed mindsetPossession of a passion for learning and hands-on experience with agentic AI solutions, including prompt engineering and context design
