Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Art Direction & ExecutionBring equal strength in conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and execution across print and digital channelsHave a deep understanding of art direction, design systems, photography and brand storytelling—applying creative and strategic thinking to deliver impactful marketing communications that resonate with diverse audiencesBe a thought and execution leader in your area of expertise and have the ability to closely work with multiple partners and drive the team towards superior creative executionTranslate complex thoughts and concepts into visually compelling stories and campaigns that address specific marketing communication goals and business objectivesDirectly manage development of the creative, from concept to execution by being able to understand the business context and applying design skills to solve the specific Marketing communication goalsServe as a steward of the Target brand in support of Target's purpose to help all families discover the joy of everyday life, infusing the work with an unmistakable Target approachStrategic Thinking & Problem SolvingBe a problem solver with strong critical thinking abilities and a passion for creating ideas that can scale seamlessly across multiple platformsCreate and produce marketing content that helps us engage in a dialogue with Target as a global brandIdentifying, researching, analyzing and managing risks and interdependencies within projects/systems/resource changes and formulates appropriate plansAssists in solving challenges & delivering innovative new experiences with internal & external partnersCritical to this role is staying current with media trends and experiences, developing competent base knowledge of categories and audience behaviors, and being a passionate advocate for great designDigital & Technical ExcellenceCollaborate with UI engineering to design and develop websites, tools, and digital experiencesUse industry-standard design tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma), to enhance productivity and creative outputWork alongside the motion media team to develop storyboards, illustrations, and engaging video contentLink the gap between technology and design by providing technical guidance during the process of designExpertise in current media-specific creative - digital (UI & UX) and print (Off-set/digital printing etc.)Leadership & CollaborationBe a go-getter who should be able to operate independently without the need of too much guidanceTake the initiative to lead and assist with special projects which could either be self-identified or assignedBuild and maintain partnerships across Marketing, Communications, and other business teams/pyramids within Target in IndiaEffectively present and communicate creative strategies and key decisions to leadership teams and larger organizationCollaborative influencer with a clear POV and ability to establish rapport with peers About YouEducation & ExperienceFour-year degree in design or equivalent educational qualification8+ years total experience, with 5+ years in an art director roleExperience with a large marketing / advertising firm or directly with a corporationExposure to multichannel marketing creativeExperience leading multi-channel work from ideation through execution Skills & CompetenciesExpert knowledge of standard design software (Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, Mac platform, etc.)Expertise in current media-specific creative - digital (UI & UX) and print (Off-set/digital printing etc.)Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an innovative mindsetPossess excellent communication skills and demonstrates thought leadershipStrong interpersonal skills and able to demonstrate thought leadership qualitiesPossesses refined presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to align partners in high stakes momentsAbility to adapt to and lead in new spaces—like AR/VR, streaming, the metaverse, etc. Personal AttributesDesire and ability to learn quickly -- self-starting, highly motivated, fast workingAdept at managing multiple, concurrent, and complex projectsThink strategically, critically, and creativelyStrong creative portfolio demonstrating breadth of creative capabilities, with a focus on Brand building, Creative strategy and Art directionUseful Links-  Life at Target- Benefits- Culture-
