Geography Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team at Vidyashilp School. The ideal candidate will be a B.Ed graduate with a strong understanding of Geography concepts and a commitment to providing quality education. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students to excel in Geography as part of the ICSE curriculum.Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons for higher school students in line with the ICSE curriculum.- Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring coverage of all required topics and skills.- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, tests, and exams.- Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation.- Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed.- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.- Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities related to Geography (field trips, projects, etc.).- Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of Geography and teaching methodologies.- Work collaboratively with other teachers to enhance the academic environment of the school.- Ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing ideas and asking questions.Required Qualifications and Skills:- B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized institution (Mandatory).- A degree in Geography or a related field.- Previous experience in teaching Geography at the higher school level (ICSE curriculum) is preferred.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Passion for Geography and the ability to inspire and motivate students.- Patience, dedication, and a commitment to student success.- Ability to use various teaching methods and technology to enhance learning.- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
