Position Description:

Join Manhattan’s R&D team, where you'll lead the future of UI development in a dynamic, cloud-based environment. As a Principal UI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing scalable, high-performance user interfaces. Your expertise will help shape intuitive and responsive applications that are critical to our product success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, embrace software craftsmanship, and continuously innovate to deliver cutting-edge solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of user interfaces with strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Architect and implement advanced UI solutions using Angular 5+, jQuery, and RESTful web services (Java).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create responsive and scalable single-page applications (SPAs).
  • Optimize applications for performance and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring code quality, best practices, and design patterns are followed.
  • Take ownership of all aspects of the software development lifecycle: analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Solve complex UI challenges and enhance user experiences in distributed systems.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in client-side technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SASS.
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript design patterns and OOP principles.
  • Extensive experience with Angular (5+), jQuery
  • Experience with UI automation tools like Cypress/Playwright/Selenium.
  • Hands-on experience in building responsive and interactive web applications.
  • Proficiency in AJAX and DOM manipulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Jest.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git and development tools such as Eclipse, Jira.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Exposure to angular 12+ version


Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to backend development using Java/Spring/SpringBoot.
