Primary Skill: Talend / TDM with EDI 837

Required Skill

Engineering / bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with minimum 4-6 years of relevant hands-on experience in Talent Testing / TDM

Talend-Specific Development Skills

• Job Design and Orchestration: Creating Talend jobs for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. This includes using components like tMap, tJoin, tFilterRow, and tFileInputDelimited
• Metadata Management: Managing schemas, reusable metadata, and dynamic schema propagation in Talend Studio
• Integration with TDM Platforms: Talend is integrated into Cognizant’s TDM platforms for batch processing, EDI file generation, and real-time data provisioning

Core TDM Capabilities:

• Data Profiling, Sub-setting, Masking, and Generation: These are foundational to any TDM role. Talend is often used to automate these processes, especially in regulated domains like healthcare and finance.
• Self-Service TDM Portals: Platforms like Cognizant’s CTDM enable testers and developers to provision data on-demand using Talend workflows.
• Data Virtualization and Mining: Talend is leveraged to create virtualized datasets and mine production-like data for test environments

Advanced Use Cases

• Healthcare EDI File Creation: Talend is used to automate HIPAA-compliant EDI 837 file generation for claims testing.
• Performance Optimization: Talend jobs are optimized for high-throughput test data creation and validation, often integrated with performance testing workflows.
• AI-Augmented TDM: Some platforms are beginning to incorporate GenAI for intelligent data generation and masking, with Talend acting as the orchestration layer.
