Master Data SpecialistThis role will provide critical support to a team of data management professionals as they work to prepare data for conversion and migration, and as they design and test master data governance systems for ongoing data management.The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated individual, able to work independently within a framework. The role reports to the Director of Data Management and will take direction from across the team of lead data consultants.Data Preparation for Data Conversion / Migration – the process of moving or extending master data into different systems:Master Data Cleansing (and coordination of multiple functional teams to do this)Data standardization, harmonization, and requirements localizationSAP S4 Master Data Value Mapping, Data ConstructionCoordination of cross-functional data element requirements, design, and value mappingTest data creationData validationBug investigation and solutioningChange Management and trainingMaster Data Governance (SAP MDG) and Profisee – the tools and processes used to create and maintain master data records on an ongoing basis:Local functional requirements gathering and documentationAlignment of local requirements to global solutionSupervision of outsourced test script development and executionCoordination of functional requirements alignment across upstream and downstream platformsTest master data creationTesting the MDG process and toolBug investigation and solutioningChange Management and trainingCut-overHypercareProject task administration – various tools are used to manage these projects, including ADO, TargetProcess, Clarity, Jira, and ExcelUpdate task status and provide commentary where requiredMonitor for new tasks or dependencies and take appropriate actionMaintain documentation – primarily involving the following data documents: data definition (DD), field mapping design (FMD) and functional design (FD):Assist lead consultants with maintaining this documentation making sure it is up to date, accurate and as comprehensive as possibleKey Responsibilities include:Data Preparation for Data Conversion / Migration; Master Data Cleansing; Data Standardization, Harmonization, and Requirements Localization; SAP S4 Master Data Value Mapping, Data Construction; Coordination of Cross-Functional Data Element Requirements, Design, and Value Mapping; Test Data Creation; Data Validation; Bug Investigation and Solutioning; Change Management and Training; Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) and Profisee; Local Functional Requirements Gathering and Documentation; Alignment of Local Requirements to Global Solution; Supervision of Outsourced Test Script Development and Execution; Coordination of Functional Requirements Alignment Across Upstream and Downstream Platforms; Test Master Data Creation; Testing the MDG Process and Tool; Bug Investigation and Solutioning; Change Management and Training; Cut-over; Hypercare; Project Task Administration; Update Task Status and Provide Commentary Where Required; Monitor for New Tasks or Dependencies and Take Appropriate Action; Maintain Documentation
