AI Research and DevelopmentAt our cutting-edge facility, we focus on streamlining patient journeys across health systems by utilizing innovative AI technology. This collaborative effort aims to eliminate referral breakdowns and enhance overall care coordination.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the development and maintenance of machine learning pipelines for classification, prediction, and information extraction.Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into product workflows.Clean, preprocess, and analyze structured and unstructured healthcare datasets.Contribute to prompt engineering and evaluation workflows for large language model-based systems.Document experiments, metrics, and learnings.Take end-to-end ownership of small ML research or data tasks.Qualifications:Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field (any year).Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals: supervised learning, model evaluation, bias/variance, etc.Experience with Python and common ML libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).Ability to run experiments and analyze results.Comfort working with Git and following basic workflows.Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.Benefits:Hands-on applied ML experience — work on real models used in healthcare workflows.1:1 mentorship from experienced engineers and ML practitioners.Letter of recommendation based on performance.Cursor Pro+ license for the duration of the internship.Fireside sessions with industry leaders in AI, ML, and healthcare.Experience deploying ML models and evaluations in an early-stage startup.Opportunity for a future part-time or full-time role based on performance.
