In this role, you will work on cross functional teams, working closely with Product Management, Solution Architects, External Alliance vendors as well as other cross-functional teams supporting the company's current and future goals. You'll be required to have senior level Systems Infrastructure experience with deep experience deploying Virtualized platforms across a variety of servers, IP networking, and external block and file/object storage technologies. Deep knowledge in at least one and strong working knowledge of other virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Nutanix, Hyper-v and OpenShift; Kubernetes/containers.  Experience in building hybrid cloud environments that span on-premise and public cloud connections to AWS & Azure.If you are a creative thinker and can independently determine what needs to be done and how to do it, we are looking for you.What you'll be doing:We are looking for a skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage our hybrid cloud environment. In this role, you will be responsible for our core on-premise virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix) and their integration with public cloud services (AWS/Azure). The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in server infrastructure, virtualization, and container orchestration with a passion for automation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Implement On-Premise & Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Solutions: Design, configure, maintain our core infrastructure, including Cisco UCS servers, Fabric Interconnects, and virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV.Virtualization & Server Lifecycle: Build, optimize, and manage the complete lifecycle of virtual machines and physical servers, including the administration of virtual networking (VLANs, vSwitches, Distributed Switches).Hybrid Cloud Operations: Support and integrate our on-premise environments with AWS or Azure. Manage cloud compute, storage, and networking services, and assist with workload migration and cost optimization.Container Platform Management: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in both on-premise and cloud environments (EKS, AKS). This includes cluster upgrades, scaling, and managing applications with Helm and YAML manifests.Automation & Integration: Leverage scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and REST APIs to automate infrastructure workflows such as server deployment, patching, and configuration management.Operational Excellence: Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of all infrastructure. Act as a key resource for troubleshooting complex issues and collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Application teams to deliver highly reliable services.What you'll need to be successful in this role:A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in computer science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required.Infrastructure Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with mainstream server vendors and network Interconnects. Expert-level proficiency in VMware vSphere/vCenter,  Nutanix AHV/Prism, Hyper-v.Kubernetes & Containers: Proven experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters. Proficient with container runtimes (Docker, containerd) and deploying applications using Helm charts.Cloud Proficiency: Well versed knowledge of core services in AWS (EC2, S3, VPC) or Azure (VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets). Familiarity with hybrid cloud architecture is essential.Automation & Scripting: Relevant experience using REST APIs for system integration and proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of virtual networking (VLANs, DVS) and core network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Core IT Knowledge: Exposure to Identity and Access Management concepts (Active Directory, SSO, MFA).Good to have QualificationsAdvanced experience with software-defined networking, particularly VMware NSX.Relevant industry certifications, such as VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, AWS/Azure Associate-level, or CCNA/CCNP.Build solutions  that provide outcomes for our customers.  We solve the most difficult challenges across all core enterprise applications and workflows including Virtualization, AI, Data Engineering and Analytics, Data Protection and Cyber Resilience and any other Alliance integrations where value is created.We operate in a cross functional environment that touches every part of Pure from Product to Sales, to Customer Experience to Marketing.  If you like working in an interactive, innovative, creative environment and have a passion for technologies that make people's lives better - you've found the right place.
