Job DescriptionThe Knowledge Services team plays a crucial role in the future strategy of Forensic Accounting and Claims Services. The team in Mumbai comprises finance/accounting professionals supporting Marsh colleagues and clients globally with complex insurance claim preparation and settlement.This position is based in the Mumbai office, requiring at least three days a week in-office work. The ideal candidate will join the team in delivering high-quality forensic accounting work across multiple geographies.Role Responsibilities:Undertake quantitative analysis to quantify, document, and present claims to (re)insurers, focusing on Business Interruption claims.Analyze data and perform in-depth reviews of electronically stored information and documents, including purchase orders, invoices, and expense bills.Review client-provided financial statements to analyze damage impacts related to catastrophic events, fire, flood, product recall, or other covered losses.Interact with client personnel and internal stakeholders to obtain information and present measured damages.Assist in pre-loss Business Interruption projects addressing client insurance policy wording and limits.We Expect You To:Develop a thorough understanding of the Claims Preparation and Pre-Loss BI Review model and processes.Understand key players involved in the Claims Lifecycle.Prepare detailed work-papers and assist in confidential report preparation.Analyze client financial statements and provide financial insights on statement components.Prepare claims for businesses affected by natural catastrophes.Provide walkthroughs of claims or pre-loss models to Marsh stakeholders, detailing loss valuation assumptions.Collaborate seamlessly with KS FACS team members on projects.Pioneer innovative solutions to claim preparation and data management problems with Knowledge Services, Mumbai teams.Stakeholder ManagementPartner/Collaborate with FAS colleagues. Continuously communicate with relevant stakeholders and contribute to their success.Support IKS regional engagement initiatives and develop new touchpoints with global colleagues.RequirementsEssentialChartered Accountant or Master of Business Administration in Finance degree.4-6 years of professional experience in accounting firms (Big 4) or similar services.Strong communication and presentation skills for interaction with all levels of business partners.Critical thinking for financial statement analysis and personal/junior colleague time management.Attention to detail and commitment to error-free analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.Knowledge and ExpertiseOutstanding stakeholder management skills.Problem-solving and critical thinking approach.Strong communication and presentation skills for interaction with business partners.Project Management - Quality and timelines control.What Sets You Apart?Prior experience handling Business Interruption insurance claims is highly desirable.Advanced knowledge of financial data modeling and loss valuations.VBA Macros and task automation experience.Excel or PowerBI visualization building expertise.Professional English proficiency; additional European languages (Spanish, French, or German) is a plus.
