Job Title: Principal Full Stack EngineerWe are seeking a seasoned technical leader to drive the evolution of our platform, scaling it to support the next generation of SaaS products. This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of architecture, system design, cloud infrastructure, and engineering leadership.Key Responsibilities:Set the technical architecture by designing distributed systems, service boundaries, integration patterns, and data flows for scalability, performance, and resilience.Lead design and architecture reviews, ensuring solutions align with long-term business and platform goals.Guide senior engineers in implementing backend services, APIs, and infrastructure with best practices and patterns.Drive scalability strategy — multi-region deployments, zero-downtime releases, resilience engineering, and disaster recovery.Shape data strategy — database selection, schema design, caching (Redis, CDN, edge compute), and event-driven architectures.Ensure frontend excellence through React/Next.js architecture, state management, and component design.Advance DevOps maturity — AWS infra automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and reliability engineering.Elevate engineering standards — performance-first, secure-by-default, design-for-failure principles.Requirements:12+ years of experience in software engineering, with several years as a Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer.Proven experience at scale — architected or migrated event-driven, cloud-native SaaS applications, de-risked initiatives with Kubernetes, containers, serverless, and microservices.Talent development — hired and scaled distributed engineering teams, built processes for productivity, and codified engineering principles.Strong product & design sense — able to thrive in ambiguity, lead tech discoveries, manage tech debt, and deliver high-quality products.Hands-on developer — contribute actively to backend (Node.js/TypeScript, Rails) and frontend (React/Next.js/React Native).DevOps & Analytics expertise — infra scaling, CDP, leveraging data for product conversion optimization.Performance optimization — query tuning, caching strategies, reducing latency in high-throughput systems.Innovation at scale — proven success integrating AI into both developer lifecycle and customer-facing products.Current & Evolving Tech Stack:Backend: Node.js/TypeScript (evolving), Python, ServiceNowFrontend: Next.js, React, React NativeCloud & Infra: AWS (ECS, S3, CloudWatch), Docker, GitHub ActionsDatabases: PostgreSQL, RedisOther: REST APIs, OpenAPI, Feature Flags, Advanced monitoring (Sentry)You'll have the freedom to evaluate and evolve our stack, introduce new frameworks and patterns, and set architectural guidelines that outlast individual technologies.
