Our platforms Collatio®, Auriga®, and Concentio® streamline complex workflows by automating data extraction, validation, reconciliation and delivering real-time intelligence.We are seeking a CAD Drafter – Schematics (Subject Matter Expert) to standardize, create, and maintain high-quality engineering schematics that power our AI training, document intelligence, and industrial deployments.Role OverviewAs the CAD Schematics SME, you will produce and govern electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop drawings, panel layouts, cable schedules, and control schematics. You’ll collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to convert legacy drawings to clean, AI-ready assets, enforce drafting standards, and enable automated BOM/metadata extraction via Collatio®. Your work will directly improve model accuracy and field readiness for Concentio® edge/IoT rollouts.Key ResponsibilitiesCAD Production & Governance • Create and update electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop sheets, and panel/wiring layouts. • Convert scans/PDFs to vector DWG/DXF; perform redlines, as-builts, and revisions. • Maintain symbol libraries, title blocks, layers, linetypes, and templates.Standards, Quality & Compliance • Enforce CAD standards aligned to IEC/ISO/ANSI/ISA (e.g., ISA-5.1 symbols). • Run QA checks (layers, blocks, references, cross-references, revision history). • Ensure naming/version control via PDM (Autodesk Vault/SolidWorks PDM).AI/Document Intelligence Enablement • Structure drawings for machine-readability (clear tags, attributes, callouts). • Partner with data teams to label/annotate entities for AI training (valves, instruments, loop IDs). • Use Collatio® to extract BOMs, cable schedules, and metadata; validate and reconcile outputs.Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work with Concentio® teams on site packages—panel layouts, wiring schedules, I/O lists. • Support Auriga® knowledge workflows by linking drawings to procedures and FAQs. • Provide SME input for customer deployments, RFIs, and change orders.Delivery & Operations • Prepare drawing sets, issue logs, and transmittals; track revisions and as-built status. • Coordinate with suppliers/partners to align on symbols, tag conventions, and file formats. • Contribute to drafting playbooks, checklists, and best-practice guides.Required Qualifications & Skills• 3+ years drafting schematics (electrical/controls/P&ID) in industrial or building systems. • Strong AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical (or EPLAN/MicroStation/SolidWorks Electrical); DWG/DXF mastery. • Solid grasp of P&IDs, one-line diagrams, loop drawings, I/O lists, cable schedules, panel layouts. • Experience with CAD standards (IEC/ANSI/ISA), revision control, and print/plot settings. • Familiarity with PDM/PLM (Autodesk Vault, SolidWorks PDM) and markup/redline workflows. • Ability to extract/structure BOMs, wire lists, and tag metadata from drawings. • Working knowledge of industrial domains (utilities, O&G, manufacturing, facilities). • Clear communication, detail orientation, and comfort collaborating with engineers and data teams.Nice to Have • Experience preparing AI-ready datasets (annotation/labeling) and OCR-friendly schematics. • Revit MEP basics for coordination; Bluebeam or similar for review workflows. • Scripting/automation for CAD (LISP, Python, Dynamo) and batch plotting/publishing. • Exposure to edge/IoT panels, SCADA, PLCs, and instrumentation tagging conventions.Our Ideal Candidate• Treats drawings as data: precise, standardized, and ready for automation. • Balances speed with accuracy through templates, libraries, and checklists. • Enjoys partnering with AI/ML teams to improve recognition accuracy and searchability. • Brings a continuous-improvement mindset to CAD quality and throughput.Tip for CandidatesIf this role interests you, follow our page to stay updated for more relevant job openings.
