Biotech Healthcare | Manager

Role Objective:
Manager of Manufacturing is responsible for leading and overseeing the production operations which includes manufacturing and packing within the IOL device manufacturing facility. This role ensures the efficient, safe, and compliant production of pharmaceutical products while meeting quality standards and production targets. The Manager will lead a team of production staff and coordinate with other departments to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve issue.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven experience (typically 10-12 years) in a production management role within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience in handling cellular production and a solid understanding of CNC machine performance.
- Experience in handling automated packing line
- Experience in sterilization process which includes Steam, Gamma and ETO
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- In-depth knowledge of QMS and ISO 13485 guidelines, with familiarity with FDA requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Understanding on six sigma and Lean methodologies
- Proficiency in production management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
RoleRequirements:
Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., supply chain, sales) to ensure timely availability of raw materials and resources.
Process Management:
- Monitor and manage the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and meets quality standards.
- Identify and resolve production issues or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and maximize output.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor production staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all products meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and perform regular inspections.
Health and Safety:
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure that the production environment is compliant with health and safety standards.
- Conduct safety training and address any safety concerns promptly.
Budget Management:
- Monitor production costs and manage the budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement process improvements.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Schedule regular maintenance checks and manage relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on production metrics, performance, and issues.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting heavy objects.
