Role Description

HCL–GUVI is looking for passionate mentors to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI. As a mentor, you will guide learners through real-world applications, practical coding exercises, and project-based learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals and top-tier university graduates who are passionate about teaching and want to inspire the next generation of AI innovators.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging live interactive sessions (weekday evenings or weekends).
  • Teach and mentor students in Data Science, AI/ML, and Generative AI concepts, including hands-on coding, projects, and case studies.
  • Provide real-world insights by connecting theoretical concepts with industry applications.
  • Assist learners with doubt clearing, assignments, and project guidance.
  • Design and deliver practical exercises, coding challenges, and mini-projects to strengthen hands-on skills.
  • Mentor students in best practices for coding, problem-solving, and research-oriented learning.
  • Collaborate with the program team to continuously improve curriculum and learner engagement.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • B.Tech / M.Tech / MS / PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields.
  • Graduates or researchers from top-tier institutes (IITs, NITs, IISERs, etc.) preferred.

Professional Background:

  • Working professionals from product-based companies or R&D labs strongly preferred.
  • Strong industry exposure in Data Science, AI/ML, and Generative AI applications.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Statistics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI frameworks.
  • Experience with tools and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, etc.
  • Familiarity with real-world AI projects in NLP, Computer Vision, LLMs, or Gen AI.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills in English and Tamil.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified, engaging, and practical manner.
  • A passion for teaching and guiding students.
