DirectTax & TransferPricing

Administer & comply with routine compliance including corporatetax returns transfer pricing reports tax certifications withholdingtax returns etc. of the company as well as the foreign groupcompanies. In addition timely update on the litigation status tothe senior management & global taxteam

Litigation & Representation Managing past litigation includingappearing before various tax / appellate authorities for variousmatters

Transfer Pricing Proving support for Transfer Pricing assessmentsinvolving discussing with the tax advisors on the positions to betaken which could impact the company establishment of transferpricing policies documentation and performing the functionalanalysis for the companyetc.

International Tax Assisting the group companies on the taximplications including PE Exposure on the intragroup transactionscarriedout.

Expatriate Tax Managing the taxation related to expatriateemployees being deputed to India and deputed outsideIndia.

Indirecttax/GSTmatters

Administer & comply with routine compliances such GST monthlyreturns monitoring input credit followingup with vendors (withinternal team) to ensure no loss of creditetc.

Handling Tax disputes for past years raised by tax authorities suchas VAT/Service Tax/ Excise / customs notices relating toassessments enquiries investigations etc. and ensuring timelysubmission of data anddocuments.

Preparing data and document relevant for replying to Show Causenotices submitting initial replies against the notices received andassisting the legal consultants for preparing the finalreplies.

Support the Global Tax team on various India tax matters includingproviding potential risk on various India tax issues impacting thelocal company or thegroup

Relationship & stakeholder management Develop and maintain aneffective working relationship with the tax authorities consultantsrelevant members of the business and functional teams other membersof the local tax and international tax teams and external serviceproviders handling Internal & Statutory Auditors in relation totax relatedschedules.

Tax Planning and Managing Effective Tax Rate Tax Planning includingproactive recommendations for reducing Effective TaxRate.

Tax knowledge building Educating the stakeholders in the area oftaxation with relation to developments in the taxarea
