Job Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design and implement a scalable, cloud-based central asset registry that integrates data from multiple SQL Server databases and hospital systems.The successful candidate will be responsible for validating architecture decisions and delivering a robust data model, ingestion APIs, and batch ETL pipelines.Key Responsibilities:Design and Implementation:Strong expertise in schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and bulk load operations for Azure SQL.Hands-on experience with Azure Functions for ETL workloads and REST API development using Azure App Service / .NET.Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture) and exposure to cloud security frameworks.Data Management:Proficiency in CSV ingestion, transformation, and integration patterns.Experience designing data models for multi-source systems and Power BI integration with Azure SQL.Understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, batch ingestion, and delta processing.Collaboration:Ability to make architecture decisions based on cost modeling and trade-offs.Understanding of NHS security, data protection, and anonymization frameworks.Requirements:Strong understanding of Azure services and cloud computing principles.Experience with API development, data modeling, and ETL processes.Knowledge of database management systems and data security protocols.About the Role:This is a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge central asset registry.
